Dr. Simy Joy is an organizational researcher whose research focuses on the dynamics of social innovation, designing of enabling organizational structures, institutional work required in implementation and diffusion of innovations, and social impact assessment. Her research focus is India, Africa, the UK and the US and explores public, private and non-profit sectors.
She has previously worked in the Indian finance sector in the areas of training and development, organisational restructuring and change management, and was a faculty member in Organisational Behaviour & HR area at University of East Anglia, UK. Currently she holds a Visiting Scholar position at University of East Anglia, UK and a Research Associate position at the Centre for Social Innovation (CenSi), Michigan Technological University, USA.
She has a MBA from Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Tiruchirapalli, India, and a PhD from Case Western Reserve University, USA.
She loves to hike, watch movies from all countries and is experimenting with farming.
