Job Description
FIA Global, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Rural Transformation Project (TNRTP), is looking for a dynamic Project Liaison Officer based out of Chennai. The individual will play a crucial role in bridging communication between bank branches and the Local Head Office (LHO) while providing essential updates on the progress of ongoing projects. This is a hands-on, in-person role that requires frequent interactions with ground staff, Self Help Groups (SHGs), and local authorities to ensure the smooth implementation of initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaison between Bank Branches and LHO: Act as the main point of contact between various bank branches and the Local Head Office (LHO) for all matters related to TNRTP projects.
- Provide regular updates and coordinate communication to ensure smooth project operations.
- Project Updates and Appeals: Deliver project progress reports to both the TNRTP department and the LHO. Assist in resolving any project-related challenges by escalating issues to relevant stakeholders as needed.
- Monitor Ground Staff and SHGs: Oversee the performance of ground staff and SHGs involved in the project. Ensure timely resolution of any issues by addressing them in person.
- In-Person Support for File Processing: Work closely with the bank and government officials to push forward essential project-related documents and files.
- Provide in-person support when required to expedite processes and remove bottlenecks.
- Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution: Address on-ground operational issues related to project implementation and ensure they are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Work, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in project management, rural development, or related sectors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and experience handling operational challenges in a field setting.
- Ability to work independently and travel locally as required.
- Fluency in Tamil and English.

Preferred Skills
- Experience working with SHGs or in rural development projects.
- Familiarity with banking operations and local government processes.
